I’m in the process of half-settling into Ryan’s new place in Phoenix, and exploring a city and state that holds so much potential to be home. I’m loving everything about the desert, and trying to dig into lots of projects that will keep me busy until I leave. So far, that’s resulted in cooking Indian, Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese [Hong Kong] dishes, baking bread, painting flower pots and growing vegetable seedlings for the patio, and making these hanging lanterns [above]. Little by little, we’re making the apartment into a tangible piece of ourselves. And it means that when I go, I can think of a place back home that still has part of me in it.
I get crafty..
